The yellowfin tuna is a species of tuna found in pelagic waters of tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide. It is one of the largest tuna species, reaching weights of over 300 pounds (136 kg), however, the BGFA record for this species of fish weighs in at 190.2 lbs.
